MN Nurses Strike Begins...Are Patients Safe?

The MN nurses strike is due to start at 7am on Thursday, June 10th. The strike will be the largest scale nurses strike in U.S. history, with more than 12,000 nurses scheduled to walk off the job. The MN nurses strike could be dangerous, potentially putting peoples lives in danger. Nurses say their main motivation is patient safety, but does a massive nurses strike align with their message?

Jonah Hill and Russell Brand Share Hilarious Kiss at MTV Movie Awards

Technically speaking, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won the 2010 MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss. I think many would agree, however, that theirs was immensely overshadowed by the steamy kiss between Jonah Hill and Russell Brand prior to the announcement of the nominees for the Best Kiss category.

McDonald's Shrek Cup Recall

Collectors of the popular 'Shrek Forever After' glasses will be disappointed by news that McDonald's has recalled the glasses. Consumer Product Safety Commission found the paint on the popular Shrek glasses to contain cadmium, a toxic metal.

BP Oil Spill Sparks Political Debate

The now infamous BP oil spill, started by the deadly underwater explosion of Deepwater Horizon rig, has become the largest oil spill in U.S. history. BP and government officials are still scrambling to stop the leak. Recently, Attorney General Eric Holder announced the launch of a criminal and civil investigation into BP and the events leading up to and following the explosion and subsequent oil leak. This announcement has added to the brewing political firestorm that has crept into the oil spill catastrophe.
