BP Oil Spill Sparks Political Debate
The now infamous BP oil spill, started by the deadly underwater explosion of Deepwater Horizon rig, has become the largest oil spill in U.S. history. BP and government officials are still scrambling to stop the leak. Recently, Attorney General Eric Holder announced the launch of a criminal and civil investigation into BP and the events leading up to and following the explosion and subsequent oil leak. This announcement has added to the brewing political firestorm that has crept into the oil spill catastrophe.

Exploding Head Syndrome Explained
Through conversations with my brother, I stumbled across a rare type of sleep disorder, classified as a parasomnia, called Exploding Head Syndrome. My brother had been experiencing frightening "popping" sounds that he said he believed to be occurring in his brain, he reported it to occur while he was falling asleep. Wanting to help him figure out what could be causing this terrifying symptom, I started doing some research.

New Prostate Cancer Treatment is Promising News for the Future
The FDA just approved a new treatment for advanced prostate cancer that uses the body's own immune system to fight the disease. Unfortunately, the treatment will only help prolong the life of a person who is terminally ill with prostate cancer. It offers an alternative to chemotherapy, which has many negative side effects. Although this is not the cure for cancer that scientists have been desperately searching for, it does give some hope to the cause. A failed car bomb in Times Square has many Americans on edge. We were lucky, the bomb malfunctioned and started smoking before the police were called to the scene. Had the bomber been more experienced the story may have been very different. The attempted bomber was a United States citizen with a wife and two children. He was living the American dream, born in Pakistan, he moved to the US, received an education and built a comfortable life.
